British Values at Eastfield Primary Academy

At Eastfield Primary Academy, we are committed to preparing children to become responsible, respectful and active citizens. Through our curriculum, assemblies, enrichment opportunities and everyday experiences, we promote the fundamental British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. These values are closely linked to our academy drivers of Pride, Collaboration and Understanding, which underpin everything we do.

We believe that children learn best when they are given opportunities to think independently, express their views, work collaboratively and develop an understanding of the world around them. Through pupil leadership roles, class discussions, Religious Education, PSHE, Picture News, assemblies and our wider curriculum, children learn to respect differences, value diversity and contribute positively to their community.

At Eastfield, we celebrate the individuality of every child while fostering a strong sense of belonging, responsibility and community. We actively challenge discrimination, prejudice and intolerance, ensuring that all members of our academy community feel safe, valued and respected.

Our aim is that every child leaves Eastfield with the knowledge, skills and confidence to thrive in modern Britain and make a positive contribution to society
