Home Learning
At Eastfield Primary Academy, we value the important role that parents and carers play in supporting their child’s learning. Home learning provides opportunities for children to practise and consolidate skills taught in school, develop confidence and independence, and share their learning with their families.
Below are a range of online resources that we use in school and that children can also access at home:
• Spelling Shed – https://www.spellingshed.com/en-gb/
• TT Rock Stars – https://ttrockstars.com/
• NumBots – https://numbots.com/
• BBC Bitesize – https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize
• Teach Your Monster to Read – https://www.teachyourmonster.org/
• Reading Plus – https://login.readingplus.com/
• Topmarks – https://www.topmarks.co.uk/
• White Rose 1-Minute Maths – https://whiterosemaths.com/1-minute-maths
Showbie
Children in Years 1 to 6 will be provided with a class code for Showbie, where they can access home learning set by their teacher.
Please see the 'How to Use Showbie' guidance below for information about creating a login and joining your child’s class.
We encourage families to make home learning a positive experience. Regular opportunities to read together, practise key skills and talk about learning can make a valuable contribution to children’s confidence and progress.
